* Guide: Hoare, was super (courteous/knowledgeable, etc) and we enjoyed having the same person for the 3 days in CPT since he knew our likes & dislikes and he really went out of his way for us to enjoy 100% (stopped many times to take pictures, he even squeezed in Constantia drive & Kirstenbosch on the peninsula day)

We waited in line for table mountain but the cable cars got suspended and we didn’t want to miss our flights so didn’t ride up. Next time....

Hi Robin and Leigh-Ann, Just a note to let you know that we had a really wonderful experience at Mala Mala. Everything was really really good. We loved the intimate and luxurious feel of Rattray’s, and the game drives were extremely interesting.
All of the “mechanical” stuff (transfers, etc) also worked perfectly, and we are now in Cape Town. (Oh, if you wouldn’t mind reducing the wind a bit, that would be nice.)
Maggie is off with Ken and other friends on the wine tour today, and is looking forward to that.
Thank you for your recommendations, and for your assistance with all of the arrangements. You can count on our recommendation, and on hearing from us next time we are planning a trip to this part of the world.

Rhonda and I would like to express our appreciation for the effort you put in guide us along the Garden Route. We thoroughly enjoyed every moment and showed up our ignorance of the beauty of what the southern part of South Africa has to offer. We also appreciated the effort you went to for our meals. Pretty good for someone who had been driving all day. We would also like to make comment on the other two guides you organised for us. Wendel in Cape Town was such a kind and gentle soul who could relate the past with feeling and on the drive south relate so much history. Our guide to Soweto Donald once again could relate the story of the Town not from a purely factual basis but his own stories of growing up in Soweto. Theee best trip we’ve ever been on! We saw the Big 5 and the ugly 5, the tent set-up was lovely, the food was amazing and the overall experience was unbelievable. So many leopard and lion sightings too! Dirk & Teenage were incredibly professional and kind. We will highly recommend you guys to friends and trip advisor. Just so amazed at all the animals we got to see and the knowledge we gained. Can’t thank you enough Dirk. Unforgettable!

Sorry it's taken me a few days to write you back - I hit the ground running when I returned to the U.S.
I cannot thank you enough for what a lovely trip you put together for me. Clive was absolutely terrific and is just an encyclopedia of knowledge. Hermanus is beautiful and reminded me of many costal towns here in the Northeast United States.
Cage diving was incredible and I saw 3 sharks (we had more sharks around our boat than any other boat that day). I was also able to see a whale while out on the shark boat.
One of the highlights of the trip was certainly the Winelands tour / wine tastings. I'm now on the lookout for South African wine.
The peninsula tour, botanical garden tour and trip up table mountain were splendid and the weather couldn't have been better. I have more photos of gorgeous landscapes and ocean than I know what to do with :-)
Sharon, who drove me back to the airport was lovely and her and I connected immediately - she's already made me promise to return in the very near future haha.
Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to ensure that I would be able to make the most of my time in Cape Town.

I would like specially to point something out: the professionalism of our guide, Marc (I think surname was Holcraft... or similar, sorry about...). He has been such a nice guy, and he was always taking care of absolutely every single detail of our trip. I (and hopefully "we"...) enjoyed so much his company and his huge knowledge about all kind of animals and the structure and history of the country.

Hi Robin,
You put together an excellent trip for me and my family.
The accommodation was excellent and the two guides, Conroy in Cape Town and Peter in Johannesburg, were very good. I must remind you to give me the same guides on our next trip.
Safari in Ulusaba was amazing and we were very fortunate to see all the big 5 on our first 3 hour ride. The lodges were great and the ranger, Johan and tracker, Anios were great. Great idea with the small plane from Kruger Airport out to Ulusaba. Saved us a lot of time and we managed to get an extra trip on the safari in the morning before flying out to Mauritius.
Our trip to Mauritius and especially the rooms you got for me at Sugar Beach were remarkable.
Once again, a big thank you from me and my entire family for this well arranged trip and send my regards to Conroy and Peter.
We will defiantly come back again and I'm most grateful you recommended us to see Cape Town.

Hello Robin,
Nancy and I arrived home yesterday and we are anxious to give you some feedback on our holiday in South Africa. It was absolutely wonderful in every respect. We enjoyed it immensely! The accommodations were excellent and the service outstanding. We had one minor glitch on the last day but it was resolved very neatly by Holly at the Tanda Tula lodge. The transfer company called to say that the driver would arrive at 9:45 rather than 9:15. We were anxious that the delay could result in our missing our flight from KMIA (which of course would have had serious implications for our whole trip to Ottawa). She resolved it by having Dale, the manager, drive us to the main gate to meet our driver there. We were immediately relieved, enjoyed our breakfast, and we made it to the airport in good time. For us, it was indicative of the true service focus that we encountered at each stop on our journey.
May I add that we especially enjoyed our visit with you at Belgrado House. We appreciated your hospitality - indeed, we felt very much like we were visiting an old friend.
In summary, we had very high expectations (in fact, we described it as "our trip of a lifetime") and it exceeded our expectations. So, thank you again for organizing it so well. We will be telling our family and friends about it (and boring them with Bob's pictures).

Here we are back in Oz now for some three weeks and still trying to get into gear. Judy and I have been trying to wind ourselves up for farm work but after having four weeks slacking off , it's mighty hard - oh well there's always next year.
I know the rest of the team are also slowly dragging themselves back to reality.
We all agree that our trip was fantastic, so much so that we are all keen to return. S A just has so much to offer and although we covered a lot, doing probably more than most tourists, we feel we have only just scratched the surface.
I guess that because S A has not been on our travel radar for all of our lives and now to realise what a surprise package has been waiting in store for us, has been really stimulating.
Until we return, we have our photos and memories to remind us - would you believe that between all of us, we have over a thousand photos now loaded into our computers - to say nothing of Foxy's movies - can't blame our grandies for saying "not another mountain photo Grandpa "
Thanks so much for making our introduction to S A such an experience . Quite apart from the terrific Safari experience, thanks also for helping us to start to come to grips with the political and social issues that the country is wrestling with. You were right, we certainly got a mix of opinions once we got to Cape Town however while everyone had their thoughts, none had the solutions and thats what makes it so troublesome.
While we were in Cape Town, Foxy heard a talkback radio programme taking calls about the social problems and the increasing crime level and the programme came out with the slogan "p for p" which stood for 'pack for Perth'. Not a bad idea - hopefully you can seriously consider it some day - we could show you and the family a great life and you know how welcome you would be .
Thanks also for the Soweto tour with Lawrence and the experience of the Kliptown visit. The interaction with Bob and his people was profound - we are all still trying to express the emotions, life values and social conscience issues ( plus a hundred other feelings) that have been bowling us over ever since .
The tour gave us an insight into how your values seem to be so in concert with Bob's values and perhaps why you answered many of our questions on social issues in the way you did - we salute you Brett.
Thanks again for looking after us so well and particularly for bringing us into the family as you did. We set out to see S A through the eyes of S A families and that's what happened- we feel very privileged.
We hope you and Leanne and the family have a great Christmas and a very happy and successful New Year . Please pass on our best wishes to all - we will be thinking of them.
